I paint contemporary abstract paintings using acrylic paint on stretched gallery canvas. My paintings use vibrant colors along with textures and lines that are inspired by music. I explore the ways of creating a peaceful beauty out of chaos, but I leave a portion of chaos for the viewer to use to create their own story .

I have a scientific bent. I like to explore nature and stores for objects to use when painting instead of a brush.

Experimenting with objects

I find objects outside at the reuse store to use when painting. I like to exlore the effects these different objects have on my paintings. Some are very surprising like a bandage from a first aid kit or some stationary supplies. The object can change the texture and the impact of the color in the painting.
